Just a little heads up for gasoline and heating oil users on the Right Coast. What they aren't mentioning is what impact using the distillate line for gasoline to reduce the impact is going to do to local distillate inventory build for the upcoming heating season. In other words it could impact heating oil inventories and prices on the East Coast. The impact on gasoline prices is a given and happening now.

So is it safe to assume that this line supplies much of the east coast and not just the southeast? If so, maybe I should be calling to top off my heating oil sooner rather than later . . .

Wouldn't be a bad thing to call your heating oil supplier and see what they think is happening with their inventory.
