    recently to out combustion motor and took apart put back and apears to be going wrong direction. Which direction is it supose to go. clockwise or other thanks and what would cause difference.

    Polarity reversed on the wires going to it could make it go backwards.

    if it was a "c frame" motor the stack could have been put on upside down , this will reverse polarity in an ac motor reversed wires would not , however if a dc motor it will , our poster did dissasemble the motor , depending on how far it was pulled apart it could be a reversed stack

    yep , most of them are c frames and can be reversed that way a "shaded pole would not work like that though and i dont know what type is in the unit in question, but im betting thats what happened if he has an ac system
