Our house is on a concrete slab. The room the stove is going in has a vinyl floor.
Is it ok to put the stove on the vinyl or do I need a hearth pad?

no man, I don't think you've got a combustibles problem, but you might want to protect the vinyl flooring from damage caused by the inevitable ember popping out of the stove while poking around or loading. Rick

EDIT: Watch the side & rear clearances from vertical combustibles, though, of course.

What stove is this? You will likely need some sort of hearth protection unless you remove the vinyl flooring from the area where the stove hearth is located. Vinyl is not appropriate for a hearth covering.
