image.jpg I started a thread about how to use a 24v thermostat with a millivolt tstat from a pellet stove. Now, we are going to go further and set up a dual fuel system with a triggered relay to use the blower from an AC unit or forced hot air system to distribute the pellet stove heat throughout the home.

Here are the supplies I'm using:

MRB: (mechanical relay board) to isolate the 24v volt power source for the thermostat and clean up our tangle of wires in the central control system.

Airotronics 120v timer relay: to proof the convection blower on the pellet stove so the timing priority rollout (using another relay timer) will keep the pellet stove as priority. If the pellet stove doesn't turn on or for some reason turns off during a call for heat by the thermostat, the central system will kick on.

Got two of these systems running now on forced hot air systems and one being install on a heat pump system on the emergency heat (electric element) relay.

Really fun stuff. Diagrams pictures and such coming when the bugs are worked out.
