Just started my new hearth project. A little later in the season than I wanted it also motivates me to get it done. Hopefully will be done in 5 days.

That's looking pretty good so far Dwayne. You'll appreciate the heat. For sure the heat feels good today with the temperature drop.
 
Yeah, I have the cornburner running now. Finally the wind has calmed, I thought I was going to be picking up shingles in the yard.
 
size is 48" out from the corner, 24" in from that 48", then 45 degree across center.

2x10 framing
3/4 OSB deck
5/8 fire resistant drywall
1/4 Hardie Backer board.
1 1/4 angle iron

Any reason for raising it up like that?
 
Higher cuts down on the trip factor, brings more attention to stove, while kneeling I think it would be easier to work in.
