Question:

I have a Vermont Castings Vigilant Wood/Coal stove. I am interested in purchasing a shaker/grate insert to burn coal (I know they no longer make this insert) Is there another manufacturer's product that might work in this stove (base is 11 X 20 inches) to burn coal?

Answer:

Sorry, it will be difficult if not impossible to find the entire original coal kit. It was not such a great coal burner anyway.

No other way, except the original coal kit, will work.
