    I stumbled on this presentation today. It's in Spanish, but you will get the drift by watching it. The system consists of elevated tube bicycleways that allow speedy transport throughout a city. It deals with a lot of the unfavorable parts of bicycling in a city, like weather, commingling with auto traffic, speed, etc. I like it!

    Thats one EXPENSIVE bicycle path probably more than 1 million a mile. I can see that crowded with all sorts of who knows what. Cool but not practical.

    In Seattle or Portland it would be crowded with - bicyclists. This is not a casual walkway. The real question is how many people would it efficiently move. As more gridlock sets in, getting people moving off the streets is becoming more an issue in major cities.

    People in a tube ,like hamsters.Could you see gettin an ambulance type device down there for some dude whos ticker gives out pumpin the pedals.All sorts of unknowns.

    Good point. They actually cover that in the slides (in Spanish). It's actually more of a serious concern with cars in tunnels.
