Hey guys, I'm wanting a tight seal on my cold air intake on my Harmon P68, could I use a fernco for plumbing as an adaptor? Would that be safe? I'm using 3" flex pipe.

Thank you!

You might want to see how hot the intake pipe gets while the stove is running, before you try it.
If it's not too hot, you should be good to go. I went from 3" PVC to 3" aluminum
flexible hose & crimped it down to 2-3/8". I secured it with a stainless steel hose clamp.

Read your installation instructions. Most, if not all, will tell you that the OAK piping MUST be all non-flammable because in the instance of a power outage, the hot air from the burn chamber will exit out through the inlet possibly. PVC is a no--no.

That is very good to know! I think what I'm going to end up doing is using some foil tape rated for high temp to seal flex pipe. Will that work okay?
