Is crabapple as good as apple? I have burnt a few splits and it doesn't
seem as good as my sugar maple and oak.

Havent burned much of it,but what I did wasnt any different.Burns the same as regular apple in my smoker & Weber grill also.

If its season good its hot. Most is to small to split and take forever to season.

Not quite as good but not bad either. Thorn apple also burns good but this is one really stinky wood! I leave it in the woods mostly.
