    Craig,

    When I log in, I leave the "remember me" box checked. I assume this is supposed to save your user name and password and automatically log you in when you enter the site? It doesn't, however. I suppose I could just not ever log out, but then I would always show up as an active member?

    That's why it's not remembering you, you are logging out. Don't log out and you should be remembered. The active user list updates every 15 minutes or so. It will drop you from the list if you are no longer clicking on stuff within the discussion board.
