The Mcfeeters this year are ashy as heck. Seem to burn hot, but not worth the price of 6.49$ a bag.

I've burned 3 tons so far and have been very happy ! I did have more ash than normal to start the year but figured out I had a poor door seal fixed that and have been very happy with great heat !

I think it was 6 bucks at Aubuchon in Lee NH. May have been 6.49. price was steep, that was why I got only 3 to try. Generally, I like to buy 5 bags for trial.

I saw that you burned some Firesides, what did you think of them? I picked up a few bags yesterday to try.

McFeeters can be a good pellet. McFeeters can be a bad pellet. McFeeters can be a so-so, average pellet.
    Why?.....
Because McFeeters does not make pellets. McFeeters Industries buys pellets from more than one mill, and puts their name on all of them. Therefore, when you get a bag of McFeeters, it will likely be different than the last batch. This is not necessarially a bad thing, because they are typically priced less than "great pellets" and are not marketed as being great, therefore, there is no "truth in advertising" issues.

Firesides have been the best bog box, 209/ton pellet for me this year. Burned very well during the shoulders. Would but more if available around here. Where did you get them?
