Crazy Idea? Flue pipe heat reclaiming!!

Just wondering if a person can fix one of those flue pipe heat reclaimers in a different area than that of your woodstove, say the floor above. Lets assume all clearances are met for the pipe and all flammable materials are adequately covered.

Its a creosote collector, don't waste your money.
 
If you reclaim too much heat, the chimney will not draft properly. You will have to install a fan to create suction or push the smoke out like a pellet stove.
