Called the dealer, and they're going to research a bit and call back.
Looks like the coils can be switched, and there's an air gap that needs to be set between the coil and mag pickup on the flywheel. Maybe that's a bit off?
I was told it should be about .010, so I'll need to check the manual for that.
Just thought I'd give an update.
 
So, new coil ordered after I pulled the plug and checked that side for spark and got....nothing.
I'm thinking this is why. I hate those meeces to pieces.
