The firebrick in my old Shenandoah stove has a slight curve on the back to accomodate the barrel shape of the firebox. Can I replace this with flat bricks or must I find curved bricks?

If I have to find curved bricks, where can i find those?

If the flat bricks don't fit the retaining system (angle iron?), you could try cutting them lengthwise to give more adjustment.
