Q&A Dad gonna make me clean the fireplace

You need a chimney brush , which can be purchased at a fireplace store. You then either use rods to push the brush down the chimney...or use a rope (from the top) with a weight on the bottom of the brush...Or, you can hire a professional chimney sweep for about $100.00 to sweep the chimney.
