Did some splitting this week

Had a pile of rounds i scored off my cousin sitting in the drive way and have been chipping away at the pile all week. here's the end result....just need to stack it now....

NOTE: i placed a hard earned beer in the foreground to give you an idea of the size...

You are right, there are some big splits in there but I didnt have enough over night logs at the end of this winter...so i left heaps of them large...nothing like waking up on a cold winters morning, throwing a log in then going back to bed with a coffee!!

looks like a nice pile - did it split easy? all by hand? looks like nice straight grain. I don't think that is an Aussie beer - although they probably brew it here.....

It was OK to split......but they were big rounds and still quite wet so I was chipping away at the edge each time.......but I cant wait to have this stuff dry!! There are some big bits in there!

And yes, that is one of the "imported" beers, brewed under license here......wasn't a huge fan of it, but it still went down nice!
