Wherever we're parked
Got an email from www.woodpellets.com yesterday, indicating that 9 tons of Cleanfire Pacifics will be delivered on Monday. In Round One I serviced & spiffed the P61A. Today it was the P43's turn. Damn. My daughter beat the crap out of it last winter, burning the Cleanfire Hardwoods. I did everything but paint the unit, cuz I ran out of Stove Bright Satin Black. I looked like a coal miner after a 12-hour shift by the time I finished...NOTE TO SELF: Do NOT brush the venting when it's raining & windy...REALLY adds to the coal miner look...
Anyway, I'll grab a can this week & she'll be ready to burn some softwoods...

Lucky daughter to have a father that takes such good care of her like that. I bet she knows it too.
I believe the US would be in much better shape if we had more good father figures.
Edit: I know it sounds sappy, but there's no other way to put it.

My son paid me the ultimate compliment recently by saying he was so glad I was firm in my direction when he was younger and didn't "give in" when being tested. Today, he is ordering a pellet stove after hearing me talk about its advantages over other heating methods. I am happy that he is still listening.

It's not sappy to state the truth. Two fathers actually, human and spiritual.
