1445141418187.jpgHi everyone it's been awhile since I posted or shared anything so I wanted to share my latest project.
I had three pieces of slate laying in front of the stove for the last two seasons.
I was going to buy the hearth extension but decided to just build one myself.
This thing is heavy as a truck.
I'm going to just slid it right under the couch when the season is finished.
Any questions on the build or if you need help just ask. Keep warm people.

Manufacturer calls for no combustible materials within 48 inches in front of the fireplace and the floor is wood so yes definitely gives me peace of mind.
 
Looks great. I guess you'll have to put something under it to slide it under the sofa, to keep from scratching the floor.
