Well, finished my install today and the stove didn't really land where I wanted it to. I was hoping to have it further back against the fireplace, but the flu outlet lands right on the fireplace floor bricks

The outlet lands right on a brick.. I'm wondering, if I remove said brick, will I compromise the entire structure of the fireplace?

If I remove this one brick, I'll be able to slide the stove back about another 6 inches.. Which would make me pretty happy.

Thoughts?

i wouldn't chop the front up to gain 6 inches and i am sure it will put out some nice heat, just curious why not install a wood burning insert stove? looks like a sweet spot underneath to store some wood
