Does the black paint on Selkirk Double Wall Black pipe 'cure' like stove paint

Yes. Visible smoke too, if you get it hot enough, fast enough.

Guess my flue temps aren't that high then. Mine hasn't smoked or smelled yet. Flue probe temp readings of 800 are pretty common for me.

usually wont be as intense as the cooking on a stove, with stoves (especially plate steel ones) its not just the paint, the stove is cooking the oils out of the metal
