Does anyone know if the L Lange 6303A should have a baffle? This is the oval-shaped one without a heat exchanger on top.

There was a baffle on the tall model with the heat exchanger top, but I am not sure about the unit without the exchanger. You might try contacting the research dept. at stovepartsplus - http://www.stovepartsplus.com/researchfrm.html

No, that model does not have a baffle, it is basically an oval-shaped incinerator. No burn plates, either. It was their budget model.
