With our set up we never burn during day/night 60's/40 temps but...

We've had so much rain lately that the family room/stove room on the lowest level that the Relative humidity is over 75%.

So I got some pine kindling and a few pieces of firewood and fired up the Country Canyon.

Brought the temp up to 74 and dropped the RH to about 60 and eliminated the damp smell.

Anybody with a dampness problem should fire up early for this reason alone

Any time you have dampness like that it is good to get the stove going. That should help a lot.

Here, we did not get the rains like you. Instead, we are practically begging for some rain. Maybe Sunday night they say.
