Apparently my Whitfield will not accept corn even in a 4-1 ratio Pellets are 330.00/ton IF you can find them in Western New York area What is the best rated deal fuel free standing stove tks

Corn is not your best option even in a CORN rated stove
Corn is very corrosive
Duravent spend millions of dollars on making a vent that handle the gases corn puts out.
but the MANUFACTURES of stoves did not
Pellet stove are made of standard steel and all combustion blowers (that are connected to that special corn vent) are Galvanized sheet metal
How long is that steel and sheet metal going to hold up to the corrosive gases of burning corn?
A lot of Stove manufactures Upgraded the stainess steel burn pot to handle corn
What about the Burn pot, Burn chamber, heat exchange, Baffles, and Exhahst ports and blowers?
they are just standard black steel.

JUST MY 2 cents

tks for info will look into it Not worth the price of pellets at this cost. May as well use natural gas

Justa short time ago pellets were fairly easy to get around here now NOT!!!. Keep calling around and asking you may get lucky with a cheaper price.
