How far does it need to be turned when connecting together? Full lenght of the dimple?

I don't know of it has to be the full length but I used high temp silicone inside the larger pipe to healp seal any tiny air leaks, Works fine.

seems like I have a duravent adaptor that I was trying to mate with a provent pipe....

I used the duravent PRO on my recent install of the Advantage and the stuff pretty well turns the full length of the groove.

I used the high temp metal tape with the sticky back. This made a very nice looking install without the ugly silicone smeared all over the joints.

The new pipe is not supposed to need any sealer but they will sometimes seep a little.

Use the tape its quick and easy
