Has any one tryed the new Duraflame stackit firelogs that are made from organic matter and saw dust. These are the first firelogs that can be burnt in a wood stove.

I've seen the Duraflame Stax logs but shied away from them after seeing they had oils added. Have they received official approval for use in any woodstove? Or is this marketing? Do you know the btu content per log?

Just read up on them. You are under strict instructions to burn no more than 2 at a time. That's probably not going to keep old man frost away when it nipping at the door. As far as I can see these are designed for people that want a fire view from a package.
