I am still on the search for a wood burner. I have decided to go with a water stove over a forced air furnace. A dealer near me has the Earth Bear Cub for right around $3000. Of course this is plus tax and installation material. Does anyone here have an opinion of these furnaces or of this particular model?
Also, another dealer is trying to tell me that if I install a solar water heating system along with the wood furnace I can get a total tax credit (federal and NC) of around 65%. Is this true or is he blowing smoke? Thanks again for everything; this is a great forum.
