My neighbor (he sold us the land) loves to burn it so I have some thats been seasoning that I'll bring over to him, he's burned wood all his life.

Eastern hophornbeam is high on my list of woods I've never burned but would love to try. Too bad I'm not a neighbor. :lol:

Jags & Batten when I came out of the woods with a full load of hophornbeam he was out in his yard so I kept going and to see the look on his face (he thought it was his) I felt bad, he will be happy when I show up later in the fall with the load of hophornbeam.

Hands down my favorite type of wood to burn. Can be tough to split by hand but burns very well. Had quite a few logs of it on my load this year.

This will be my first year burning it so I'm looking forward to it.
