Ok, so the $50 enviro ef2 I got over the summer was running tonight and all of the sudden the blower fan started to make a noise like the fins were hitting something. Any ideas before I tear it apart?

Also apparently the electric ignitor does not work. What do I look for on that.

Chris, as far as I can think, the only way the fins of a blower can suddenly start hitting something is if:

1. the entire blower unit comes loose

2. the fan blades come loose on the motor shaft

3. the fan blades changed size/shape slightly due to expansion from the heat

Either way, I would remove it and investigate.
