depends on which model it is , its condition etc. i had a 24-ac for 12 years heated my whole house easily. its a good unit , the fc is basically the same unit without the blower setup , radient only. if its an fc there is no way to mount a blower available , but the ac has one and it does a much better job heating over 1500 sq ft. if its an ac and its in good shape thats pretty good , make sure however that the cat is in there and is servicable as they run about 180 bucks for replacement and the stove isnt going to perform without it. the fc sold new at about 600 bucks , the ac went for about 800. hope this helps , let me know if you have specific questions on them, i used to build them before da boss turned me into an office weenie <chuckle>
