Hello to all. Ok i finally finished my install of my Englander 25-pdvc stove installed tonight. It started right up with no problem. Except I get a smoking smell inside, all my joints are sealed. I went staight out the back to the outside then up 60" with a 90 the an end horizontal cap. I used selkirk piping. Any help would be great. Thanks Fespo

is this the first fire? if so , the unit is cooking out , you will get that smell for the first several hours (usually 3 to 5 on average) but this should go away after the first long burn. if successive burns keep producing smoke smell you need to contact me at the office or PM me your number and i'll call ya up to discuss it and find a solution

Ok, thanks I will try tommorrow when I get home from work. I get home at 2pm so I have time before everyone comes home and complains about the smell. It is the wood smell, not the burnt steel/ burnt oil smell. I was just worried about it tonight so I shut it down. see Ya :)

THANKS MIKE ! The problem was NOT YOUR STOVE, it was my flue piep seal. Thanks again for ALL your help. Fespo
