The following pile was harvested from two bags of pellets. I have found the occasional chunk of wood in the past but never shavings like this. Has anyone else ever found anything similar in their pellets? Would you have concerns for your auger?

The two black chunks appear to be some form of foam or rubber...

I got that in the past too.

Probably conveyer belt pieces & somebody dropping shavings in the mix.

no but like jtakeman what brand is that from
  6. Dang, whatever they are, stop buying that crap. If this is what they're considering a quality product, I'd hate to see what else they're letting slip into their bags. Frigg that.

What it is is planer or hammer mill chips. I have seen it with the Potomac's brand. Some how they didn't get screened out of the finished product. FYI!
