I have a Avalon PerfectFit, this comment will also apply to the Lopi Declaration as they are the same unit.

My fan half way through the night just cut off, with a medium size fire going in the box. I had wired in a thermostat bypass switch, so I just went to manual.

Life was a little busy so I just started a fire the next night and ran the fan in by in bypass mode. The following night I noticed the ash was really deep and cleaned out the fire box.

The fan thermostat works again. Moral of the story keep the ash in the firebox down. Two inches is way to much ash.
