How often should you have to replace the fiber board. Mine is only 1+ years old and has a few spots where it has chipped and some of the material has fallen off.
 
I'm not sure, since your stove is a corn burner, but is it still under warranty? I'd give Mike Holton & the tech guys at Englander a call and explain the situation....maybe you can get a replacement.

2nd yr. burning and having problems with that seems very premature, IMO.
 
The cerra-brick in my St. Croix was 8 years old when I chucked it into the trash... it's pretty much decorative.
