Can I just verify with anyone who has a Pacific Energy Alderlea is this the correct layout? I’m just nervous because I’ve never had a stove where the entire floor isn’t fire brick. Mostly concerned with around the ash dump.

On my SIL's T5, I just sweep some ash onto the dump/ash door area once I'm done emptying the bulk of it. But even with coals on the bare metal, it shouldn't hurt it unless the coals were burning like a forge..

Yes, the ash dump area fills up with ash right away. No worries. Just be sure it has closed tight and that there are no coal bits holding it slightly open.
