I need some help!! I am about to build a firewood storage box out of wood , I need some ideas . Picture wood be help full. Thanks

Would that be 30" tall, 28" deep, and 45" long? If so, I would suggest a centre partition so that you can organize big and small and not have to dig so much for a small split. I wanted a much larger box but form won out over function and we have a small Vermont Castings cast iron wood box instead.

I am forever trying to anticipate my needs and staging the sizes as I load up the box. I have room for another box but the wife vetoed putting a second box on the other side.

Here's a shot of our woodbox, sits on the porch. Dimensions are 48"W x 28"D x 19"H. I like it because it's tough, handles a cartload of wood, and we can just drop in wood by the armload. Kindling is stored separately.

If you have the space this is a simple set up we created using one 4 by 8 sheet of plywood.
