Soapstone Woodstove - $675 (Western Mass)

This is a woodstock Soapstone woodstove the Fireview model Year 2000. Very nice condition. Nice looking stone. This is a catalytic stove with catalytic bypass. The catalytic convertor looks in fairly good condition. Would be $120 for new one but I don't believe it is necessary. These stoves throw some really nice, even heat. New fire gaskets throughout the stove.

New these stoves sell for $2800 so I feel $675 is a fair price.

This could be a good addition to someones home.

That's a solid deal. It would be tough to hold out for a lower price if you were looking for a used Fireview.

Definitely a nice looking stove. Don't think you would find better by the shape this stove looks in.

not to hijack this thread, But... would this blow me out of a 1500 ft2 two level house with about 750 ft per level? right now i use a jotul f3cb and i would like longer burn times. The talk about soft heat has me interested. The jotul is ok but the heat comin on at night, i would love to prevent.

I do not think so , I am currently using mine for a similar size home with descent temps.

I am able be get good burn times with good hardwoods , stove tops of 300 after10 hours.

The Fv will easily burn medium-low for 12+ hours. It won't blow you out. :)

The only question I have looking at the picture is why is the bypass lever at half mast? Is there a bind there? I don't believe we can place our bypass lever like that. If we try, the bypass will simply close, so I'd want to open the top lid to do some checking. If any fixing is needed though, it should be a really easy fix.

Lots of gaskets in the stove so pays to look at all of them.

Woodstock also sells a kit that would have everything you would need and the kit is low cost. In addition, if you have questions, there are some great minds there that will help you every step of the way.
