I wonder if when his laundry started to pile up to the ceiling, and he got sick of frozen pizza and mac and cheese, if he would be throwing the wood back outside and asking her to come back! ;lol

Alright, I'm in. I'm a cord hoarder, borderline BTU processor. But I have to admit something; contrary to my name I'm not fat and I'm not really a kid anymore. fffew....it feels good to get that off my chest.

I guess I would qualify as a Cord Hoarder since I've got roughly 6 cord out back. I have to admit, however that I have it all delivered; I just stack it...;em

I guess I'm a cord-hoarder. About 95% scrounged, cut, split, stacked by me. A few milled h/w ends tossed in for luck. Pretty good for a weekend burner I guess. But I am humbled in the presence of greatness (wishlist -- you are insane !!! -- but in a good way... :)

That is a beautiful way to do it. I love to buy it when I can. Saves a lot of time. I don't really mind the work, it is just finding the time. Especially this time of year when it gets dark at 04:30. And I am not home till 6. ;hm (Ya wish, you are insane! Very nice supply!)
  20. Highbeam Minister of Fire

Well into the BTU possessor bracket with 10 rows between 1.25 and 1.5 cords each. The old ones are alder/willow/mystery and the new ones are mostly douglas fir with cypress/juniper mixed in. I have begun numbering the stacks so I can remember which ones are ready to burn.

Note my stack of uglies. Campfire wood.

Naaah.....those stacks looked like they were aligned with a laser level and put into place by an Egyptian mason.......
Top cover them and they'd probably stay perfect for a thousand years if they didn't get shoved through your stove's front door!

SWA, but I've got it under control. I keep a little over 15 cords on hand, and add four to five cords each year depending on how much I've burned and
    traded to a buddy.
