My wife has said that to me exactly...one time.
My answer was similar to yours, and it has not been spoken of again.
I think she realizes I'm just crazy.

I would love to see where I am on that chart but it would require that I actually get out and measure all my stacks, been thinking of it for years.

    Cord Hoarder.

    I have between 8 and 9 cords. About 2 1/2 still "seasoning".

    Cheers

I lay the blame squarely at the door of Mr. Backwoods Savage. If he hadn't told us that wood will last in the stack for 20 years without rotting, we wouldn't be saddled with this terrible affliction! ;lol

It's always easier to deal with a problem when there is someone to blame. :)

I also deal with it by telling myself that since I'm working on down wood, I'm not hoarding, just saving wood that would otherwise go to waste. ==c

I guess I would be classified as a wood-a-hoarder...as I tend to be between a wood-a-holic and a Cord-hoarder. A bad back and warm climate are the only things keeping my addiction in check...ha

I live on a regular sized lot in town, and I am running out of places to stash wood without the missus complaining about it. I now have to outsource my wood stacks.

I hear you Realstone. I have a 1/4 acre suburban lot too. My 13 cords, or just over three year's worth is the limit! In fact, it may just beyond the limit.:)

Hello everyone. My name is Jon and I am a social hoarder. Due to my small yard, I have only 2 cords but I do partake of occasional scrounges of a downed tree once in a while. I have been known to carry a chainsaw in my vehicle after a large storm. I slow down and look at downed branches in peoples yards and they give me strange looks. I have cut up and taken branches from relatives yards that were destined for the DPW yard. I have taken a few pictures of a giant woodpile on the side of the road on some guys farm before to post here. I have even told my neighbor his oak is too wet to burn, but he gives me strange looks. I even told him that any splits that fall off his wood stack into my yard are mine, mine I say! I am a monster. I am so ashamed.

I'm sure as this thing progresses, we'll have to add categories to it. We've already got guys like MWN and Lee who are above the categories we have (we'll have to call them Cordwood Pushermen)! I guess the whole point of this is for some fun, but more importantly it goes to show that none of us are alone or as "crazy" as our significant others may think we are.......well, I'm not sure I can convince her otherwise anyway!

FBCJ for sure, maybe more half my stack is in rounds,I think that equates to a little more when split.
