Got the power hooked up for the blower tonight and figured I may as well test it and see if it works. The ducts aren't hooked up yet (as you can see), but it works mighty nice. Had to keep the basement windows open and the patio door because of that "first burn" smell, but it stayed ~66 - 68 degrees upstairs. I'm so excited to see what this thing will do once it gets cold outside! The first burn was like having a baby. I was scared and excited all at the same time.

Looks good, I've got a Daka in my garage waiting to be installed.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I need to do. They specify 6" of clearance above the main furnace plenum and for the first 6' of duct. I need to drop my plenum down about 5", which I can do since the old furnace was about 8" taller than the new one, but not sure I can lower my ac coil that much without disconnecting it.

My A coil is too large to provide me any easy access into the plenum of my NG furnace. Therefore, I'm not even going directly into the plenum. Here's a little diagram of how I'm doing it. My house is only one level and the duct runs aren't very long, so I think the fan on the Daka will be sufficient to move the heat. If not, I'll just buy the extra fan kit.
