Northern MI - in the mitten
Got the stove back late last Tuesday afternoon from having the back panel replaced.
Wanted to do the burn-in in the driveway, and today was the first decent day we've had.

Why not install it, and burn it THEN? (LOL) At least get some value from the intention............

With the rebuilt stove sittin' proud out on the trailer, waiting for the move-in tomorrow...I'd do exactly the same thing. (Prob'ly doesn't have adequate hearth protection, though...but hey, it's just a couple small burns). Rick

I thought exactly the same thing, Rick. Put my hand underneath, and barely felt warm. Pretty good breeze yesterday. The pallet it's sitting on didn't even get warm.
I was out there with the hose at the ready while drinking coffee, though.
Had to cut some of the bricks inside, since I now have the bracket in the back. Changed the layout somewhat.
New single wall slip pipe will be purchased as soon as I measure the distance from the stove collar to the ceiling support box. I think one of the 38"-72"'s will work.
