I have a mam bear in my kitcher in a home I just bought and I see there is no door seal on the door but it fits tightly and does not leak is this correct?

yep, that is as it was. No gasket.

Welcome to the site! Just cleaned the chimney attached to my grandmother's mama bear fisher today.
