Hi guys,

A cheap Homelite saw that I bought and am goofing with is leaking gas. It's leaking from the gas cap and the cap seal is cracked and literally falling apart. Was thinking about cleaning the seal off the cap and hitting an auto parts place nearby and seeing if they might have and o-ring that would fit the cap and make a decent seal. Any other thoughts? Thanks and cheers!

Same thing happened on my Husqvarna Rancher, no surprise since it's almost 30 years old. I called my FLSS (Friendly Local Saw Shop), they said bring it down, they probably had an o-ring to fit. The light went on, I went out to the garage and found that I had one. Works perfectly.

Good deal - thanks! Cheers!

A piece of inner tube works well also.
