Hello all, I have two questions:
1.) I have a forced air electric furnace, and a forced air wood stove which use the same ducting. The wood stove is in an "air exchange" room inside the garage. What that means is the wood stove pushes air into the house and intakes from the small room its in, and the room naturally intakes air from the house through a vent when the wood stove is intaking air. Currently only the house is heated by the wood stove. I want to split the ducting from the wood stove so one goes to the house and the other to the garage, then just have a vent from the garage to the air exchange room for the cold air from the garage to enter the air exchange room. The problem is that if I decide to weld or smoke in the garage, the fumes will go in the air exchange room, and eventually into the house. Any solutions?
2.) The house only has one thermostat for the wood stove. Whats a good way to regulate the temperature in the garage if I split the ducting to the garage? Maybe a simple dampener on the ducting going to the garage, since I only need heat when Im in there working.
