Hello,

I was offered a stove similar in appearance to the Jøtul F 602 CB from inlaws but has solid door but similar dimensions. I would dig up exact model but it is buried in a garage.

My question is the age is approximately 30 years old. Were Jøtul or in general woodstoves UL listed in that vintage? My insurance company has that specific question on a questionnaire that I must sign and send if I go ahead with install.

thanks

If your stove does NOT have a rating plate with a UL listing,
you have to refer to to NFPA-211, which says you have to maintain
a 36" clearance from ALL combustibles with an unrated unit.

Sounds like a Scandia. Jotul is not shy about putting their name on their product.
