Hi guys, im switching from propane and need a new set of gas logs. I see they range anywhere from $300 to many thousands. Do I need to spend alot to get a decent, reliable set?

Would something from Lowes do that job? Thanks for any input.

You'd be better served going to a hearth shop, IMO.
Peterson REAL FYRE Gas Logs are very reliable &
there are many log sets to choose from.
Should you ever need repairs, parts are readily available.

Agree with DAKSY, Worth spending the few extra bob to get a good set from a reputable manufacturer (and dealer). The Big Box models are often disposable technology. Meaning when a service part is needed, they'd be hard to find, and often cost more than the set once found. Peterson have set the standard for many years with Gas Logs, hard to go wrong with one of their sets.
