Question:

We have a triple wide mobile home- and would like to install a gas fired stove. What type of stove (i.e. non-vent- direct vent) would you recommend? What type of questions should we have answered before purchasing the stove (i.e. insurance ...)

Answer:

Mobile homes are fairly tight- so a direct vent may work better if you intend to use it for many hours a day. Make certain you do not get a stove that is too large- many can turn down low. Buy from a reputable hearth shop- not a mass merchant..because they can help with installation- choosing the proper unit- and safety.
