I keep a paper bag of bark debris in the boiler room, and I chuck it in the boiler when there's enough floor sweepings to be worthwhile. A guest apparently mistook it for ordinary trash and threw a bottle into it. When I went to clean the ashes out of the boiler, it had melted and dripped down through the nozzle, with long tendrils of glass hanging down and puddles in the lower chamber.
