Gassifier Chimney Caps

Anyone with a gassifier using a chimney cap such as the Vacu-Stack http://www.woodlanddirect.com/Chimney/Wind-Resistant-Chimney-Caps/Vacu-Stack-Wind-Resistant-Chimney-Cap to address wind related draft problems?

Also, for keeping the rain out

Just wondering because I get draft variations from 0.06"wc to 0.12"wc whe it is windy. I do not want to install a baramoetric damper for the risk of feeding a chimney fire.

Chimney fire risks are almost non-existant with gasifiers because of the clean burning. I have been running mine for three years and just checked the chimney. It is perfectly clear and clean. I was going to run a brush down, but it didn't need it. I do have to empty the cleanout once a year though.

I seem to recall someone saying not to use caps on gasifiers, but I can't remember why. Hopefully someone else will chime in with more on that.
