    Got up to a balmy 43::F and sitting at a smoldering 37::F now in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. The ol' Isle Royale is gonna get to slow up a bit for a week or so it looks like. Wood consumption drops dramatically with these temps....better off than -5::Fa week or so ago.

    Enjoy the break in your fuel consumption. We have been at -5 to -13 F the last 3-4 nights with a high of 3-5 F during the day in the UP of MI. We are seeing what you had a few days back.
