I recently installed a shelburne and have noticed that as the stove is getting warmed up,usually in the first hour, that the stove weeps a bit of water that drips onto the bottom sheild and then drips on the tile...I think it's just the stove burning off any moisture it has absorbed since being burnt the last time...Has this ever happened to any of you...It has been rainy the last 4 or 5 days and I'm in a basement...It smells sooty too when I wipe it up!

Wipe it up, it will go away after a few fires.

After I installed my Shelburne and lit the first fire, I noticed a small black stain around the left rear foot. Nothing since...

Small black Poodles always do that until you get them housebroken.

Oh wait, you said puddle...nevermind.
